Further Information : I was invited by ST Suspension to fly to California to attempt to fix and drive a extremely rare factory all-wheel-drive Syncro Jetta GT edition from Fresno, California to San Diego, California, in only 48 hours…

The car was in driving condition, but had many faults and issues. The first test drive immediately showed the following list of items needing addressing :

• Headliner is gone
• Suspension is blown
• Brakes don’t work – at all..
• Headlights and taillights melted
• Badges gone and trim falling off
• Engine belts are squealing
• One Million Dings
• Front Bumper is falling off
• It’s got Snow tires
• Radio wiring
• Drivers window doesn’t work
• Interior missing about 30% of small pieces
• Rear bumper has massive weird hitch
• Every stone ever has chipped the paint
