    Volkswagen of America asked me to bring a retro-inspired homage to life, 8 months before the launch of the 8th Generation GTI in the USA.

Hi Felicia. Česká Škoda v Americe (Czechia Ško Hi Felicia. Česká Škoda v Americe (Czechia Škoda in America) 💛 The little ‘90s Škoda Felicia Fun, with its 2+2 seating that uses a fold-out rear cab section to extend the seating area into an open top extended cab (!). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This colorway is from the factory including the bright yellow interior, and the painted wheels. It’s powered by a Volkswagen 1.6L engine shared with the Polo, with a factory bell housing adapter joining it to the Škoda gearbox and other drivetrain parts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At Love Park, City Hall, and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve always had a crush on these cars, which surprisingly weren’t too uncommon to see when I was growing up in Europe, even with their limited production numbers. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I bought this one from a retired Škoda dealership mechanic, who was the second owner, before I brought it the USA. It was the first from marque at L’oe Show - but I hope we have more in the future. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @skodagram @skodadesign @loeshowofficial

From the @automuseum.volkswagen in Wolfsburg, Germ From the @automuseum.volkswagen in Wolfsburg, Germany to Pottstown, PA, USA for @loeshowofficial ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The show is held on August 28-31, in downtown Pottstown PA, and is open to all marques within the VW Group. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These cars and vans will be joining 1,000 others on display or driving around town to the GTGs, over the long weekend. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The downtown will host pop-up stores and co-branded restaurants, and the main show on Sunday August 31st 10am-5pm. Spectator entry is completely free.
The @loeshowofficial Store and Museum, in the same The @loeshowofficial Store and Museum, in the same building as @rotiform + @thehoonigans and @milltekcorp opens on Friday 29th August, for the show weekend, along side Performance VW Magazine and other guests on the Friday night car unveiling. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The store is one of multiple opening in downtown Pottstown PA for the show weekend, with additional restaurants and beer gardens also hosting pop-up with brands including @leencustoms , @solowerksinc , @fifteen52 , @hrsprings_na , @_rarejdmparts , @blackforestindustries and more - plus over 55 other vendors setting up on Sunday August 31st. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s been nine months of work, with all of the local agencies involved, and so many business and property owners also. Now we are just two weeks away from the main day on the Sunday.

I think you’ll agree it’s great to read and look through 🙌🙌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The advertisers have really stepped up with the designs - many looking like posters in their own right - and even our store sales figures are up (!). The absolute best way to receive the mag is to subscribe directly, but we’ve also recently started our own distribution via car enthusiast repair and retail shops in Belgium, Netherlands and the USA. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s been a huge amount of work, and I, we, give thanks for everyone who was helped keep the mag going, as well as to all who reads it every month 👏❤️

4Motion VR6 Mk4 rescued from a junkyard ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We just bought the car with hopes to get it running properly again for the Golf Challenge 2026 - a trip to the desert in Morocco - with last years trip featured in this months @pvw_mag issue 📘 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @vwgolfchallenge ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The little Mk4 was mainly in there due to a rear wheel bearing being completely shot, along with a whole bunch of other normal vacuum leaks, broken sway bar end links, rusty broken wing, and completely bald tires. What a photo dump! It was the VAG Nation Reloaded What a photo dump! It was the VAG Nation Reloaded show in Belgium on Sunday. It was tough leaving the Nürburgring 24 Hour Race for the end, but the show was 100% worth it ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Held in a business park north of Brussels, it is an invitational show with 97% Volkswagen group cars, coming from Belgium, France, Netherlands, Germany, UK, and further afield. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Kristof and the team put on the definition of a chilled out high-quality gathering 👏❤️

Our Top 10 nerd out on the GTi 50th - we spoke to Our Top 10 nerd out on the GTi 50th - we spoke to the team of engineers behind this MQB ‘parts bin special’. ⠀ 1) There’s a LOT of engineering love under the body - special suspension geometry, parts seen on the Clubsport S, upgraded spring rates, the strongest strut mounts in the group, etc ⠀⠀ 2) Unsprung weight - we think around 17lbs removed due to the wheels and tires. ⠀ 3) Speaking of tires - the ones on this car are not the final version, the ‘real’ ones are specific to VW and possibly this model. They will have a special mark as the special OE Porsche tires have. ⠀⠀ 4) RED SEAT BELTS! We yell this because very specifically the project leader said this was a direct throwback to the Mk3 Jubilee Edition. That’s cool and we appreciate you Sir. ⠀⠀ 5) That seat material pattern. Enough said. ⠀⠀ 6) Small details with in a short period of time - the red pedals surprised us, but we dig ‘em. The black door pull handles (probably have a fancy name, “charcoal nightfall” or something but yeah). ⠀⠀ 7) That short period of time.. reportedly about one year, from when the 50th anniversary was decided, during which time the engineering and chassis team went to work so that it wasn’t just cosmetic changes. ⠀⠀ 8) Gloss black and stickers… not overly done, but enough that you notice. The Mk3 had red stripes on the door trims. The Mk5 had special wheels and lips. We’re not mad it’s relatively subtle. ⠀⠀ 9) Horsepower is up - still slightly below the Golf R, but the engineering and passion the team spoke of was clear, and we trust they made the best balance for the chassis which is what our number 9 is. They cared, they really cared.. Especially based on the result..: ⠀⠀⠀ 10) This car is faster than any production Golf R, Clubsport S, or anything else factory for sale VW on the ‘Ring. With the same driver. The Clubsport S was special. It had less doors, less seats, it was extreme. This one ‘just’ had the 50th Performance Package. That’s pretty cool. ⠀⠀⠀ And as a bonus - we heard a secret sauce thing about the record lap… the back seats were folded down. Why? Apparently it lowers the centre of gravity. Smart…!

Après la pluie, le beau temps / after every storm Après la pluie, le beau temps / after every storm, there is a rainbow. 💙🤍❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There was a storm tonight before the VW Days show in France, when the show was setting up, with everyone seemingly safe and secure afterwards. I hope everyone is as dry and unaffected as possible. There will be some tidying and more tomorrow, but that is another day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Well done to the organisers and staff and everyone who helped in the wind and rain. It felt like proper solidarity and warmth. I hope you can get some sleep, and know we will all help as much as possible tomorrow (…later today, it’s almost 4am now..). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We will see everyone in a few hours from now at the show. If you see anyone not using a tent or with some repairs, give them an extra high five or hug. For us, the booth is fine, the trailer may need some small repairs. We are very grateful for that, and we have offered another company that they can share our booth this weekend as their tent was damaged. We, I, hope they will still be able to enjoy the weekend with great friends and great cars. And we fully expect to see lots of people having a great time - the party was still going in the camp site around 3am. 👏❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
